David Kee
Education:
Attended Indiana University, studied with
Louis Davidson, Bill Adam, and David Baker.
Performance
Experience: Freelance musician, Theater of
the Stars, and Broadway Musicals that come
to Atlanta, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
On faculty at the Galloway School, and has
been with Carere Music since it opened.

Chris Libby
Education: Chris
is a Senior at Georgia State University,
majoring in Music Education.
Performance
Experience: Chris is a
private student of the renowned trumpet
artist Kevin Lyons. Chris has
participated in the Georgia State Wind
Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, and
Jazz Combos. He is also a member of
the 116th Georgia Army National Guard Band.
He is also a member of the First Redeemer
Church's Orchestra. Chris has also
studied trumpet with great players such as
Andy Hagan, Larry Engstrom, Michael McClary,
Jens Larsen, and John Head.

Paul Poovey
Education: B.S. Industrial Engineering –
N.C. State University, 1992, B.M.
Performance – University of North Carolina
at Greensboro, 1996, M.M. Performance –
University of Missouri at Columbia, 1999
Performance Experience: Paul was named
Interim/Acting Principal Trumpet with the
Tuscaloosa (Alabama) Symphony for the
2006-07 season, and he performs frequently
as a sub/extra with the orchestras of
Columbus, Gainesville, and Macon, GA. In
addition, he has proudly served as Principal
Solo Cornet for the award-winning Georgia
Brass Band since 2002. Paul also enjoys
performing with local Latin jazz group Wild
Rice, and he recently joined an exciting new
chamber group called the Midtown Brass
Quintet. Paul has been teaching trumpet
since 1994, joining Carere Music in 2000.
He enjoys working with students of all ages
and backgrounds.
