Krystal
is a freelance performer and educator in the Metro Atlanta area. She
is currently finishing her B.M. in Music Education at Georgia State
University under the instruction of Mike Muszynski on bassoon. She
actively teaches clinics in Gwinnett, Fulton and Dekalb counties and
works extensively with middle school-aged students. She is an advocate
for double reeds as a first instrument and has started several students
on both bassoon and oboe as early as eight years old. In addition to
her teaching career, Krystal has performed with distinguished ensembles
such as the Georgia Philharmonic Orchestra and the Emory Summer Winds.
She is an alumni of Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony and the Georgia
All-State Orchestra and has performed at venues such as the GMEA
conference in Savannah, GA and at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago,
Illinois. Recently, she performed in Beijing and Xi'an China with the
Kennesaw State University Orchestra.
