Phil commands over a decade of teaching experience, and now he maintains a small studio of low brass students of all ages and abilities. While remaining in high demand as a clinician and teacher, he also performs widely in southeast, but calls Atlanta his home.

A previous resident of northern Colorado, Phil has also held positions with the Colorado Jazz Orchestra, 9th and Lincoln Jazz Orchestra, the Greeley Chorale, and the Larmier Chorale. Phil has appeared on several recordings for UNC Jazz Press, and has performed at the Greeley Jazz Festival and the Telluride Jazz Celebration. He has worked with artists such as the New York Voices, Patti Austin, Jeff Coffin, Donny McCaslin, Benny Green, Jeff Hamilton, Terell Stafford, Jeff Clayton, and many others.

Phil always looks to share his knowledge with students that have a love for music, be it with professional goals, or just to learn and polish a passion for music that can last a lifetime. Take your lessons with an experienced and professionally trained musician!
